Rob has over 30 years of cyber experience, and has solved cyber security challenges for clients globally across a broad spectrum of organisations, including large corporates, telcos, and government installations. Combining a successful track record in CNI and CPNI defence, with a history of building innovative and unique cyber security start up business. He has a passion for developing, implementing and commercializing new ways for utilizing technology to solve organisations cyber security issues.
Developing his security experience working in agency, Telco, blue chip MSSP environments, and global vendors. He is a technical practitioner in both offensive and defensive cyber security and delivers a broad range of cyber security services covering advisory, compliance, threat modelling, crisis scenario testing, SOC and service design, architecture and implementation.
He has brought multiple managed security service businesses from startup to revenues exceeding £50M p.a. delivering value for clients in all areas of sales, technology, people and process. He excels at productizing and speeding up managed service sales cycles driving quality, revenue and scalability.
Liam has over 12 years of experience building, running, and innovating cyber security programs with a strong focus on Security Operation Centers. During his career he has worked as a SOC Analyst, Engineer, Architect and SOC service lead.
Liam has a particular passion for detection, machine learning and automation and its application within cyber security. Designing implementing and delivering innovative services that improve the security outcomes of his customers, he has covered a broad range of disciplines inclduing Threat Modelling, Solution Architecture, building and running SOCs, Security Posture reviews, implementation of detection engineering programmes, implementation of SOAR platforms and more.
One of his passions is automation, the challenge of taking complex cyber or business processes and converting them into automations to get more out of a Cyber Security team. He has designed, implemented and overseen the development of SOAR platforms. Working with organisations to write SOAR playbooks and automations for Security Operation Centres and blue teams ensuring the organisation gains true return on their investment with measurable outcomes.
